While the Cedartown Performing Arts Center is undergoing its exciting renovation, our team is taking the show on the road – just a few miles down the highway with our dear friends – to the historic Rockmart Theatre. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue bringing outstanding live entertainment to our community during this period of transformation, and we cannot think of a better way to celebrate the Christmas season than with one of country’s music’s most beloved voices (and our beloved friend and his band).
We’re also looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the Cedartown Performing Arts Center in 2027, when audiences will finally have the opportunity to experience its new look. Until then…the show goes on!
On Wednesday, December 16th, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter John Berry will bring the milestone 30th Annual Christmas with John Berry tour to the Rockmart Theatre.
For three decades, Berry’s annual Christmas concerts have become a treasured holiday tradition for audiences across the country. At the heart of that tradition is his powerful rendition of “O Holy Night,” a performance that has become one of the most enduring and celebrated parts of his career.
Berry rose to stardom on the country charts during the 1990s with unforgettable hits including “Your Love Amazes Me,” “Standing on the Edge of Goodbye,” and “She’s Taken a Shine.” Throughout that decade, he placed 20 singles on the country charts, with six reaching the Top 5. “Your Love Amazes Me” reached No. 1 on both the Billboard and Radio & Records country charts, while “Standing on the Edge of Goodbye” and “She’s Taken a Shine” also earned No. 1 positions with Radio & Records.
His distinguished career has included multiple Gold and Platinum records, numerous major industry nominations, and a Grammy Award for his participation in Amazing Grace: A Country Salute to Gospel Vol. 1. Berry’s expressive voice and deeply personal performance style have allowed him to connect with audiences for more than three decades, creating musical memories that continue to span generations.
Born in South Carolina and raised in Georgia, Berry began playing guitar at age 13, performing at 14, and making records by 19. After years of building a strong regional following, he signed his first major-label recording contract with Capitol Records in 1992. His early country hits quickly introduced him to national audiences and launched the remarkable career that followed.
While Berry’s catalog includes decades of country, Christian, and inspirational music, his Christmas performances have become an especially meaningful part of his legacy. His recording of “O Holy Night” inspired the beginning of his special Christmas tours in the mid-1990s, growing into an annual tradition that has brought the joy and meaning of the season to thousands of concertgoers.
The 2026 tour marks the 30th anniversary of Christmas with John Berry, making this year’s performance a milestone celebration for Berry and the fans who have made the tour part of their own holiday traditions.
Whether John Berry’s music has been part of your life since the 1990s or you are experiencing his unmistakable voice for the first time, this concert offers an opportunity to gather together, enjoy an extraordinary live performance, and celebrate the Christmas season in a beautiful, intimate theatre setting.
